Minutes of Commission meeting held on March 9, 2010
Present: Mary vandenBerg, Chairperson, Marcia Beal, Nathan Gumlaw
Chairperson called the meeting to order. The minutes of the January 12, 2010 meeting were read and accepted.
7:10 PM Carl and Dina Van Buiter, 38 Over The Top Road, Holland map R-15-B1. They came with a procedure sheet Document No. 1380 to construct a driveway as shown on the attached plan with a curve to divert water from running into the lake and was approved. They also had a request to remodel the house at that location. They will be replacing the roof and creating a gable roof, and new windows and doors, replace the deck making it 20 feet across and adding 6 x 15 feet to an existing room on the right side of the house facing the street. The addition will be on piers. We will accept it with the approval of the plans for the house.
David Hemsworth, 50 Over The Top Road, Holland noted they are listed as 2 Collette Drive and wishes to tear down and construct a new home. We could not act on this as he had no Notice of Intent.
Adam and Dennis Brote, 1374 Woodstock Valley, CT 06282 requested a lean be removed from this property but has not complied with the restrictions at this time.
Daniel and Nicole Braskie, 21 Island Road, Holland, Lot 14 map R10-A24 requested removal of trees from a heavily wooded lot. They were approved on the condition they must retain one third of the trees on the property focusing on the white pines which pose a safety issue.
The meeting was adjourned at 9 PM.
